Brendan Watters - Chairman and CEO
Since March, 2005, Brendan Watters has served as Chief Executive Officer and Director of Settle Inn, L.L.C. From October, 2004,
to March, 2005, Mr. Watters developed the operational infrastructure for franchising the Settle Inn and Settle Inn and Suites concepts.
From November, 2001, to December, 2003, Mr. Watters was Vice President of Corporate Development for Le Meridien Hotels and Resorts,
based in London, United Kingdom; Mr. Watters' responsibilities with Le Meridien involved finance, asset development, and hotel operations.
Mr. Watters is a Certified Public Accountant (Australia); he obtained his Bachelor's Degree in business, with an accounting major, from the
University of Technology, Sydney, Australia, and a Master in Business Administration Degree from the London Business School.
David Graf - Director
Since 1975, David Graf has been involved in the development, acquisition, and operations of limited service hotels throughout the United States.
Mr. Graf developed the Settle Inn lodging concept in 1992 and has developed and operated more than 20 properties, of various brands, in 9 states.
Mr. Graf obtained his Bachelor's Degree in sociology and psychology from Northern State University, Aberdeen, South Dakota.
Richard Mahoney - Director
Richard Mahoney has more than 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry. From August, 2001 to March, 2003 Mr. Mahoney was
President and Chief Operating Officer of Le Meridien Hotels and Resorts based in London, United Kingdom. From August, 1995 to February,
1998, Mr. Mahoney was Chief Financial Officer of Westin Hotels located in Seattle, WA and he has also served as Chief Financial Officer of
Wyndham International located in Dallas, Texas. From February, 1998 to April, 1999, Mr. Mahoney was Chief Operating Officer for Caesars
World, Inc., in Las Vegas, NV. Mr. Mahoney obtained his Bachelors Degree from the University of Iowa; he obtained a Masters Degree in
Finance from Boston College and Mr. Mahoney is a Certified Public Accountant.
Jeffrey G. Lamont - Director
Since December 2006, Jeffrey G. Lamont has served as a Director of Settle Inn, LLC. Since 1995, Mr. Lamont has also served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Lamont Companies, Inc., a real estate development and construction company located in Aberdeen, South Dakota. Mr. Lamont has developed, owns and operates multiple various franchised lodging facilities primarily located in the upper Midwestern states.

Tim O'Connor - SVP Brand & Marketing
Tim O'Connor has 25 years experience working within the lodging, advertising, and travel-related sectors. Mr. O'Connor began his career in 1982, and has served in various positions including food & beverage, revenue management, sales, and marketing for a variety of franchised and independent hotels. In 2001, Mr. O'Connor established Patriot Consulting Group & ExciteDirect – both partnership and promotional marketing agencies serving a broad range of clients. In March of 2006, Mr. O’Connor joined Settle Inn as SVP of Brand Marketing where he has been serving ever since.
Terry Kline - SVP Franchise Sales & Development
Since October 1, 2005, Terry L. Kline has served as Senior Vice President, Franchise Sales and Development for Settle Inn, L.L.C.. From January, 2005, through September, 2005, Mr. Kline was the Director of Development, Western Canada, for Carlson Hotels Worldwide, Minneapolis, MN. From November, 1987, through September, 2004, Mr. Kline served in various franchise sales positions, including Vice President of Sales and Development, for Cendant Corporation, and its subsidiary Super 8 Motels, Inc. During that time, Mr. Kline was headquartered in Aberdeen, South Dakota. Mr. Kline attended Northern State University in Aberdeen, South Dakota, majoring in Business Administration and Economics.
Ron Marcou - SVP Operations
Marcou has over 35 years in the hotel and real estate development industries. Marcou began his hospitality career in the 1960’s with the Marcus Corporation (Milwaukee WS) at the Pfister Hotel on their management training program. Thirty years later he became a franchisee with the Marcus Corporation’s Baymont flag in MA and MS. Prior to 9-11 Marcou owned or operated 20 various franchised hotels as Shoney’s Inns, Baymont Inn & Suites, Microtel and Comfort Suites located in twelve states and served as senior vice president of hotel operations for the Delta Queen Steamboat Company. His most recent post was as Vice President of Hotel Operations for Sholodge, Inc. Ron and his wife, Fran, own and operates the 185 room GuestHouse International Inn & Suites located adjacent to the Opryland Hotel in Nashville, TN.
